About Breathe With Lizzy

This is a space for slowing down, reconnecting, and learning how to live in your body

— freely, honestly, and at your own pace.

I’m Lizzy B. Nicholls, a yoga teacher (RYT 200), somatic and holistic wellness coach, veteran, and master’s student on the path to becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).

My work is rooted in lived experience, military service, and a deep respect for how trauma lives in the body and how healing doesn’t have to be rushed or performative.

Through private sessions, yoga and sculpt classes, workshops, retreats, and community offerings, I use intentional movement to help people regulate their nervous systems, release stored stress in the body, and reconnect to their breath, their bodies, and themselves.

Breathe With Lizzy isn’t about perfect poses or fixing yourself.
It’s about creating safety, building resilience, and remembering who you are — one breath at a time.

My Approach: Somatic, Trauma-Informed, and Holistic Integration

I offer a grounded, multidimensional approach that blends somatic movement, trauma-informed practices, and holistic wellness.

My work supports nervous system regulation, awareness of stored stress in the body, and the gradual building of resilience. Rooted in lived experience and professional training, each session is guided with care, safety, and intention.

Somatic Movement
Experience lives in the body. Through yoga, breathwork, and mindful movement, we reconnect with physical sensations, regulate the nervous system, and create space for release at your own pace.

Trauma-Informed Approach
Sessions are built around choice, safety, and empowerment so you feel supported and in control of your experience.

Holistic Wellness
I integrate movement, mindfulness, and supportive practices that encourage balance and connection between mind and body.

Resilience & Self-Discovery
Grounding practices help cultivate awareness, inner strength, and a deeper connection to yourself.

What is Trauma-Informed?

A trauma-informed approach recognizes that many people carry stress and difficult life experiences that can live in the body and nervous system. Because of this, movement and wellness spaces should prioritize safety, choice, and respect for each individual’s experience.

In trauma-informed yoga and movement practices, the focus is not on pushing the body or achieving a perfect pose. Instead, the emphasis is on creating an environment where participants can move at their own pace, listen to their bodies, and feel a sense of agency and control.

This approach often includes offering options in movement, using invitational language, and encouraging awareness of breath and sensation. The goal is to create a supportive space where people can explore movement in a way that feels grounding, empowering, and accessible.

What people are saying about the yoga sessions...

Rachel, PA

I have loved getting to know Lizzy as a teacher, practitioner and beautiful soul. She brings a unique blend of grounded, healing, trauma-informed energy while keeping the vibe of her classes fun, hip, and infused with great music. In her classes, we sweat, we ground, and we leave feeling strong and settled. It’s the perfect balance of a solid workout and calming, restorative practice. She reminds us that we are perfect exactly as we are, and that yoga is a practice. She never tells us that we “should” be doing something a certain way. She is a knowledgeable teacher who creates a loving, affirming space that is calming, energizing, healing, and fun!

Lizzy is truly such a bright light. Her classes have honestly helped heal my nervous system in ways I didn’t even realize I needed. She genuinely cares about every person in the room and meets you exactly where you are on your mat, which makes the space feel so welcoming and supportive. She always begins class by reminding us to let go of the noise of the day and treat this time as purposeful reset. The pace of her classes is perfect...challenging enough to make you feel strong but mindful enough that you stay connected to your body the whole time. She offers encouragement and feedback throughout class, which makes you feel seen and supported.I also love how she closes each session with a calming message that ties back to the intention she set at the beginning. You leave feeling grounded, refreshed, and with that amazing post workout “high.” I would absolutely recommend Lizzy’s class to anyone looking to decompress, unwind, and reconnect with themselves.

Joy, PA

I’m 63 years old and spent most of my life refusing to try yoga. I always thought it wasn’t for me... too slow, too trendy, or just not something I could see myself doing. But after years of living with chronic back pain and a mind that never seemed to quiet down, I finally gave in and tried one of Lizzy’s classes.
I can’t believe I waited this long.
Lizzy has a gift, not just for guiding movement, but for making people feel safe, seen, and empowered at any age. Within a few weeks, my back—something that had hurt me every single day for years—suddenly stopped aching. I became consistent with her classes, not just because of the physical relief, but because my whole outlook started to shift. I feel calmer, more grounded, and more connected to myself than I have in decades.
This practice with Lizzy hasn’t just helped my body—it’s helped my life. I’m grateful beyond words.

As a man, I wasn’t sure what to expect walking into a yoga class centered around healing and mindfulness—but Lizzy’s approach is unlike anything I’ve experienced. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed without judgment. Her presence is calming, and the way she leads the class makes it feel personal, purposeful, and deeply grounding.

I’ve carried a lot of tension—both physical and emotional—and Lizzy’s classes have helped me begin to let some of that go. It’s not just about stretching or poses; it’s about connecting to yourself in a way that feels real and sustainable. She holds space in a way that feels safe and strong.

Whether you're new to yoga or someone who’s just looking for a deeper sense of peace, Lizzy has a gift for making you feel like you belong. I'm really grateful I showed up. It’s helped me become more present, more at ease, and more connected—to myself and to those around me.
